Users not listed in Spark

I have just installed the lastet version of OpenFire and spark, configured Active Directory to see the users in a specific group and when a user is logged into spark I can not see them in the list of users.  In the OpenFire console I can see all the users listed from the group that I specified.  I can chat with any of the users using spark but I cannot the users.  Any help would be great.
