Dissappearing files in Openfire 3.8.2

Hi folks!

I've been using an                      Openfire server for some time now, about one year, and I'm running in a few walls here.

I't s a good thing I have backups to almost everything but Openfire sometimes really puzzles me.

Now and then, mostly on system power-cycles, the openfire/conf/openfire.xml dissappears. Who and why deletes it?

And today the entire database vanished. The openfire/embedded-db/openfire.script I found it to be almost empty - id had only two lines:

What happens? How come files get deleted by Openfire itself? Because _nobody else_ touches the openfire installation folder.

Running on Openfire 3.8.2  on openSUSE 12.3 - Linux 3.7.10-1.16-desktop.
