Openfire Port 7777 and Pidgin...

I have my Openfire server setup and running with OpenLDAP authentication over StartTLS working fine... I've limited all the ports as desired but there is a big problem.

On my network we have two zones and through the firewall we explicitely only allowed Port 5222 and 5223 and blocked port 7777 for the proxy file transfer.

So I've logged in to the xmpp server on both network segements and I'm able to chat and send messages to other users however when I send a file to another user it will idle and eventually PROCEED through port 5222.

Is this a known behaviour and how can I block file transfers over port 5222?

It would seem that even if the file transfer proxy over port 7777 is disabled in the menu pidgin will still try 5222 and completely ignore 7777.

So is there was way to enforce some form of port policy on connected user to my OpenFire server so that they may not use some alternative port like 5222... which leads to the question why is openfire letting file transfers over 5222 anyways?

Sorry if i seem to make little sense but im trying to understand what is going on with that....
