I installed the 3.8.2 Openfire server on my Linux website, and everything looked OK when I logged into the Admin console.
However when I connect two user clients, each sees the other as "offline". Even changing the status on a session doesn't alter the presence information. The Admin Console sessions listing shows both clients connected with the appropriate resource information.
I have tried 3 different Jabber clients, with the same result. Has anyone had this problem (or better fixed it)? Right now, Openfire is unusable for me!
BTW, I had been using a 3.7.x release successfully on the same website. I deleted it to install 3.8.2.
