Question regarding to Authentication

Hello,

I am pretty new to XMPP and Openfire, and I have just finished setting up my Openfire server on Windows.

It runs pretty well, and I have tested to connect with my client IM.

Then, I started with the authtication part.

Here comes my question:

How can I use my own external db for authentication without putting the sql statements in xml file?

(such as http://www.igniterealtime.org/builds/openfire/docs/latest/documentation/db-integ ration-guide.html)

I want to put my logic into a class which handles authentication, however I have no idea where to start.

Please help!
